The next post is a tribute to an up and coming and super nice kid, Jamie Hylands @jamiehylands 🇨🇳🇨🇦 - 

1. Jamie is a big and strong Chinese Canadian power forward from Langley, British Columbia. He relishes in physical play and is fearless driving towards the net for deflections or rebounds. 

2. His minor hockey was spent with the @fvtbirds_u18 in 2019-20. There, he scored 29 points in 32 games, while racking up 52 PIMs. 

3. Jamie joined his hometown @langleytrappers of the @thepjhl in 2020-21. During the shortened Covid-19 season, he scored an impressive 2 points in 4 games. 

4. In his first full season with the Trappers, Jamie erupted by leading the team with 49 points in 44 games (with 24 PIMs). In the playoffs, his offensive onslaught continued with 10 points and 33 PIMs in 12 games. Jamie and the Trappers won both the Cyclone Taylor and PJHL Stonehouse Cups this past season. 

5. He has always worn jerseys with an “8” because the number is lucky in Chinese. On the Trappers, “8” was taken, so he went with “18”.
