1. Yuta is a veteran Japanese goalie from Kushiro. 

2. While he was a student at @toyoicehockey, Yuta made his international debut in the 2006 @iihfhockey U-20 D2B World Junior Championships, where he played 2 games as a 19-year old and took home a Bronze medal. 

3. After college, Yuta turned pro and played 10 seasons in the Asia League with the @redeagleshokkaido. He won a league championship in 2011-12. 

4. Yuta has frequently represented Japan in international tournaments, where he has collected two Silver and a Bronze medal in World Championship play. 

5. This year, he backstopped the team for his second World Championship Silver medal with 3 wins over 4 games and recording a .909 save percentage.
